The Firmament

The firmament is much more permanent

than is anything that is terrestrially bound

for although it has many wonders, storms and thunders

the earth is not as profound

as the heavens which declare the glory of the Creator.

And just as it was many eons ago

and never will cease to be

the stars of the night sky are still aglow

in magnificent mystery

in the great cosmological theatre.
